Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-XI

One may call good, from a pious point of view,

One may call good, from a pious point of view,

What the rules demand;

One must call good what bears witness to the Most High,

What every man must understand as virtue —

What lies in the nature of things — not in appearance.

The absolute bears witness to pure Being.

Considéré d’un point de vue pieux ;

Gut kann man nennen, was die Regel will

Gut kann man nennen, was die Regel will

Von einem frommen Standpunkt aus gesehen;

Gut muss man nennen, was vom Höchsten zeugt,

Was jeder Mensch als Tugend muss verstehen —
