Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-XIII
Who is the “I” of the ray of Revelation?
Who is the “I” of the ray of Revelation?
It is the Lord, and none other, who manifests Himself in a religion,
But in the discourse of the saint,
It is an angel, or his noble personality,
Or it is the luminous shrine of the Intellect.
By accident, it can also be
From without, and never from the good within;
Because a pure heart cannot invent falsehood.
De l’extérieur, jamais du bon intérieur ;
Von außen her, niemals vom guten Innen;
Das reine Herz kann keinen Trug ersinnen.
