Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-LXVIII
To exist, is to be such and such. If you exist,
To exist, is to be such and such. If you exist,
You must be this one, and no one else: this particular duty
And this particular destiny. But to realize Pure Being —
You cannot do this in terms of existence.
The petty man, who treats the Spirit like an artistic pursuit,
Should know that there is nothing left for him.
Bist du da, so musst
Dasein ist Sosein. Bist du da, so musst
