Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-XXXVI
Of course thou must think of earthly things,
Of course thou must think of earthly things,
Thou canst not do otherwise; but every day
The stuff of thinking must be swept away,
When the Peace of God lays itself over thy heart.
Some things are beautiful, but many make one tired;
The world is agitation — but God is Peace, Peace.
Il y a de belles choses, mais beaucoup te rendent las ;
Gewiss, du musst an Erdendinge denken;
Gewiss, du musst an Erdendinge denken;
Manches ist schön, doch vieles macht dich müde;
Die Welt ist rastlos — Gott ist Friede, Friede.
