Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-XCIII

Each virtue is a beautiful woman,

Each virtue is a beautiful woman,

And so is every profound truth;

Whoever loves not truth and virtue,

Is like a man who is asleep in the sun.

To love the true and the good means:

To live with them and to kindle their light;

To cause one’s own soul to awake in them —

Through them, to find the way to the God of love.

Chaque vertu est une belle femme,

Chaque vertu est une belle femme,

De même que toute vérité de la profondeur ;

En vivre et allumer leur lumière ;

Und so jegliche Wahrheit aus der Tiefe;

Sie miterleben und ihr Licht entzünden;
