Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-CXX
That thou remainest in peace, thou owest to God,
That thou remainest in peace, thou owest to God,
Even if the wickedness of the foolish threatens thee;
For God is always God, and thy soul
Has access to the Lord in all distress.
Thy soul is what it has chosen;
Be happy if a trial of this
Woven of illusion, but sent by God —
Makes thee better, and strengthens thy will.
Be what thou art, though the sea run
The last word belongs to the Lord of the worlds.
Même si la perfidie des fous te menace ;
Et ton âme est ce qu’elle a choisi ;
Auch wenn der Toren Arglist dich bedroht;
Und deine Seel ist, was sie hat gewählt;
