For God within me cannot perish.
So despite everything, I remain
Even though the world should disappear, I know not when.
Quand bien même je suis faible, je ne puis périr,

Parce que Dieu en moi ne saurait sombrer.
C’est ainsi que malgré tout je reste debout —
Même si le monde disparaît, je ne sais quand.
Wenn ich auch schwach bin, kann ich nicht vergehen,

Weil Gott in mir nicht untergehen kann.
So bleibe ich trotz allem aufrecht stehen —
Mag auch die Welt vergehn, ich weiß nicht wann.
