World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes I-III-LXXI
It is extremely painful when an innocent child,
It is extremely painful when an innocent child,
Who from birth onwards only has goodwill,
Should cause disappointment. Why? It was not his
Education paralyzed his genius.
Until he was freed from the chain that bound
Until he found himself through God’s grace.
The child sought to dwell in the heights of the True —
His elders did not want this; they wanted him to be
They did not want a light to shine in the darkness.
Warum?
