World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes IV-VII-IX

I read in a book that the best man

I read in a book that the best man

Is the one who considers himself the greatest of sinners —

This would mean a man who, fleeing from the world,

Out of sheer faith is no longer able to think.

An over-emphasis of sentiment works for some people —

Only sharpness of intelligence can lead to the truth.

Everyone seeks grace in his own way —

Love of truth is the highest path.
