World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes IV-VII-XCIV

Why does God’s vengeance often come so late?

Why does God’s vengeance often come so late?

Why had David to cry out in the desert?

The offense may persist for a long time —

The Lord’s Wrath burns in wise degrees.

God’s vengeance wills not to unveil itself —

Thou see’st not the method in its fires.

The mills of God grind slowly, says a proverb,

But they grind on and on.

Warum kommt Gottes Rache oft so spät?

Warum kommt Gottes Rache oft so spät?
