Autumn Leaves & The Ring-Fundamental Truth

Yet they are one — the division is impermanent.

I know not if the whole world is my dream,

Or if I am the foam of the world’s dreaming.

Some say the whole world is imagination —

Whence such an illusion came, no one knows.

I or thou, awake, dreaming, great and small—

The Truth lies in the one, deep Being.

Le monde entier est imagination, dit quelqu’un —

D’où pareil mirage viendrait, nul ne le sait.

Moi ou toi, éveillé, rêvant, grand et petit —

La Vérité réside dans l’Être un et profond.

Doch sind sie eins — die Spaltung geht vorüber.

Ich weiß nicht, ist die ganze Welt mein Traum,

Oder bin ich von ihres Träumens Schaum.

Einbildung sei die ganze Welt, sagt einer —

Wo solches Wahnbild herkäm, das weiß keiner.

Ich oder du, wach, träumend, groß und klein —

Die Wahrheit liegt im einen, tiefen Sein.
