Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-LIX
It is said that fear alone maintains the world —
It is said that fear alone maintains the
That threat prevents it from falling apart;
Sad enough. But forget not faith,
Lest the law should pierce man’s heart.
Have faith first! Good men must suffer
Under the bad; but both should be helped.
If one wishes to help the one and the other,
One must rely on God’s saving Word.
La menace fait en sorte qu’il ne s’effondre ;
Triste assez.
Drohung macht, dass sie nicht zusammenfällt;
Traurig genug.
