Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-XVIII
The wheel of time turns. All things must move,
The wheel of time turns. All things must move,
Says Heraclitus. The wise man does not see anything
Without seeing through it to its kernel.
Thus for him, the flow of things stands still
In the midst of its movement, which no man
Can escape, even if he wishes otherwise.
A contradiction? — nay, a true showing
Of timeless Being in all earthly things.
Zeitlosen Seins in allen Erdendingen.
