Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-CVII
The essential nature of the Good wishes to overflow —
The essential nature of the Good wishes to
But its wave, which chose the distant,
Cannot accustom itself to the foreign world;
And so came into being the nostalgic song
That resounds in the depth of our soul,
And ultimately arose from God’s Love.
La Nature essentielle du Bien veut déborder —
La Nature essentielle du Bien veut déborder —
Mais sa vague, qui a choisi le lointain,
Ne peut s’habituer au monde étranger ;
Et ainsi naquit le chant de profonde nostalgie,
Qui résonne dans la profondeur de notre âme
Et en fin de compte a jailli de l’amour de Dieu.
Des Guten Urnatur will überströmen —
Des Guten Urnatur will überströmen —
Doch seine Welle, die die Ferne wählte,
Kann sich nicht an die fremde Welt gewöhnen;
Und so entstand der sehnsuchtsvolle Sang,
Der in der Tiefe unsrer Seele klingt
Und letzten Ends aus Gottes Lieb entsprang.
