En-Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-XI

A wise man said: ask yourselves — who am I?
This is not a Path. The wise man meant himself,
Describing his spiritual substance, given by God;
But it is not your substance, simply because ye think the same.
One cannot, without God, reduce the world to
‘By its fruit ye shall recognize the spirit.’
