Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-CXXV
God is the One, He alone is; thus proclaims Islam.
God is the One, He alone is; thus proclaims Islam.
From this came the tendency
To attribute absolutely everything to the Most High —
What is lacking here is wisdom’s sieve;
This comes from God. One should not exaggerate.
There is the freedom of outward actions;
There is the freedom that teaches us how to
This is the nature of the Intellect, it is not merit.
Knowledge is free, because it belongs to God.
Ce qui manque à cela, c’est le tamis de la Sagesse ;
Il vient de Dieu. On ne doit pas exagérer.
Il y a la liberté de l’action extérieure ;
Was dabei fehlt, das ist der Weisheit Sieb;
Es kommt von Gott. Man soll nicht übertreiben.
Es gibt die Freiheit äußerlichen Handelns;
