Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-LIII
Prayer — firstly it is commanded;
Prayer — firstly it is commanded;
And then: the soul has dire need of it.
It is not a case of merely doing what pleases
The one who prays brings blessing to the world.
Thy prayer must show a pure
Otherwise it cannot rise to God’s heights.
La prière — elle est avant tout un commandement ;
La prière — elle est avant tout un commandement ;
Gebet — es ist vor allem ein Gebot;
Gebet — es ist vor allem ein Gebot;
Reine Gesinnung soll dein Beten zeigen —
