Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-CXIII
I came into a world which did not want me —
I came into a world which did not want
In my earliest years, it sought to destroy me.
With God’s help, I went my
And what had to be done, I was able to do.
Certainly, darkness has need of light;
But without God’s blessing we are nothing.
Certes, les ténèbres nécessitent la lumière ;
Gewiss, die Finsternis bedarf des Lichts;
Doch ohne Gottes Segen sind wir nichts.
