Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-CXIV
If the world of the senses is the outward,
If the world of the senses is the outward,
Then the Lord, who created everything, is the inward.
Man is a microcosm, a little world.
He lives in the outward as he
In the inward alone can he reach his true being.
L’homme est un microcosme, un petit monde ;
Der Mensch ist Mikrokosmos, kleine Welt;
