Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-LII

Nudity is sacred through the likeness

Nudity is sacred through the likeness

God gave to man; worldliness, however,

Desecrates the body. Inversely, clothing

Often means the evil one’s hatred of the sacred.

The gods, it is said, rejoice over the body,

For Lakshmî dwells in every noble woman

And blesses the surrounding world. India loves Nature:

Beauty and freedom in the wake of the gods.

Denn Lakshmī wohnt in jedem edlen Weibe,

Die Umwelt segnend. Indien liebt Natur:

Schönheit und Freiheit auf der Götter Spur.
