Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-LXXV
Who am I? Brahma Satyam — and essentially nothing else.
Who am I? Brahma Satyam — and essentially nothing else.
What constitutes my ego is mere husk;
The Path is to become That which knows Itself,
So that the heart be filled with the Self —
Just as a cup which, when empty, resounds,
And longs for its purpose — to be filled!
Que suis-je ? Brahma Satyam — et rien d’autre
Que suis-je ? Brahma Satyam — et rien d’autre
Au fond. Ce qui fait mon ego n’est qu’enveloppe ;
Was ich bin? Brahma Satyam — und nichts andres
Was ich bin? Brahma Satyam — und nichts andres
Im Grunde. Was mein Ich macht, ist nur Hülle;
