Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-LXXVII
“The Lord possessed me in the beginning of His way —
“The Lord possessed me in the beginning of His
I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.”
Thus speaks Wisdom in the Holy Scripture. Because before
The world was, there was the Spirit which saw all.
Wisdom, enthroned beyond becoming,
Illumined the multitude of possibilities.
The Pure Spirit — which also dwells in the
Was already there, before the world existed.
