Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-XXXV
I am neither Moslem, Jew, nor Christian;
I am neither Moslem, Jew, nor Christian;
I am the gust of wind that trembles in God —
The Spirit that dwells everywhere and nowhere;
So said a Sufi, who lived within Islam.
Jesus said: the wind — thou knowest not how it blows;
And so it is with the soul that has been
With him who is born of the Holy Spirit.
The call from God to God, that never fades away.
Je ne suis ni Musulman, ni Juif ni Chrétien ;
Je ne suis ni Musulman, ni Juif ni Chrétien ;
L’Esprit qui demeure partout et nulle part ;
Jésus : Le vent — tu ne sais d’où il vient ;
Ich bin nicht Muslim, Jude oder Christ;
Ich bin nicht Muslim, Jude oder Christ;
Der Geist, der überall und nirgends wohnt;
Jesus: Der Wind — du weißt nicht, wie er weht;
