Patience contains hope; hope needs patience;
Patience contains hope; hope needs patience;
After these days, other days will come.
In life, trials cannot not
Patience in God will receive its consolation.
I shall not want, for my Shepherd is
Happy the heart that has given itself to the Lord;
It will be given to graze by the Hand of the Most High.
La patience héberge l’espérance ; l’espérance requiert la patience ;

Après ces journées, d’autres s’approcheront.
L’épreuve ne peut point ne pas être dans la vie —
La patience en Dieu recevra sa consolation.
Rien ne me manquera, car mon berger est là —
Bienheureux le cœur qui s’est abandonné au Seigneur ;
Qui sera repu par la Main du Très-Haut.
Geduld birgt Hoffnung; Hoffnung will Geduld;

Nach diesen Tagen werden andre nahen.
Die Prüfung kann im Leben nicht nichtsein —
Geduld in Gott wird ihren Trost empfahen.
Mir wird nichts mangeln, denn da ist mein Hirt —
Selig das Herz, das sich dem Herrn ergeben;
Das von des Höchsten Hand geweidet wird.
