World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes I-III-LXXIX
I hold fast to Thee, my God,
I hold fast to Thee, my God,
and troubled will not
Let come what must,
and let hope shine.
Whatever happens, God has willed,
else it would not
What does not lead thee to the Highest,
is not written in God’s book.
und will mich um nichts kümmern —
Lass kommen, was da kommen soll,
und lass die Hoffnung schimmern.
Und was geschieht, hat Gott gewollt,
sonst würd es nicht geschehen —
Das, was dich nicht zum Besten führt,
kann nicht im Buche stehen.
