I have told you much
I have told you much
About things of this world, great and small;
And much has the spirit composed, with God’s help,
Concerning the path from nothingness to the All.

Gar viel hab ich von Dingen dieser Welt,

Von großen und von kleinen, euch berichtet.
Und manches hat der Geist, mit Gottes Hilf,
Über den Weg vom Nichts zum All gedichtet.
