Earth, Heaven, and hell; purgatory,

And transmigration. Do not rack
Your brain over these.
The good go to Heaven and the wicked go to hell.
You would like to know what no eye can see;
God knows best what will happen with
What lies in the destiny of creatures,
In Eternity. And that He knows, suffices.
Terre, Ciel et enfer ; purgatoire,

Et transmigration. Ne vous cassez
Point la tête à ce sujet. Le bon va
Au Ciel, et le méchant en enfer.
Vous voudriez connaître ce que nul œil ne voit ;
Dieu sait le mieux ce qu’il adviendra de vous —
Ce que recèle le destin des créatures,
Dans l’Eternité. Et que Lui le sache, cela suffit.

In Ewigkeit. Und dass Er’s weiß, genügt.
