World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes I-III-XLIX
Form and color offer themselves to the eye;
Form and color offer themselves to the eye;
A vast range of sounds offers itself to the ear.
All things have their meaning in the Inward —
Light and song impel us towards the heart.
La forme et la couleur s’offrent à l’œil ;
La forme et la couleur s’offrent à l’œil ;
A l’oreille la tonalité richement ramifiée des sons.
Tout a son sens en direction de l’Intérieur —
Luminosité et chant nous entraînent vers le cœur.
Dem Auge bietet sich die Form, die Farbe;
Dem Auge bietet sich die Form, die Farbe;
Dem Ohr der Töne weitverzweigter Klang.
Alles hat seinen Sinn nach Innen hin —
Zum Herzen drängt uns Leuchten und Gesang.
