A friend of God said to himself: not this ego,
A friend of God said to himself: not this ego,
But Pure Being, confers
The divine and beatific Ipseity.
Such was Lallâ: her garment was light and air;
Drunkenly, she danced back into her true Self.
Un ami de Dieu se dit : ce n’est pas cet ego,
Un ami de Dieu se dit : ce n’est pas cet ego,
C’est le Pur Être qui octroie le bonheur —
L’En-Soi divin et béatifique.
Ainsi Lallâ : son vêtement était la lumière et l’air ;
Elle dansait ivre en refluant dans son Soi.
Sagt sich ein Gottesfreund: nicht dieses Ich,
Sagt sich ein Gottesfreund: nicht dieses Ich,
Sondern das Reine Sein gewährt das Glück —
Das göttliche und selige An-Sich.
So Lallā: ihr Gewand war Licht und Luft;
Sie tanzte trunken in ihr Selbst zurück.
