World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes IV-VII-LXXXVIII
It is strange how the ego weaves itself day by day —
It is strange how the ego weaves itself day by
How consciousness emerges out of nothingness;
If nothing were to happen, there would be neither I nor thou.
Blessèd is he, who lives above his egoity:
Who lives towards the True — yea, towards the deepest Self.
Comme la conscience s’élève du néant ;
Wie das Bewusstsein aus dem Nichts sich hebt;
Wenn nichts geschähe, wär kein Ich, kein Du.
Wohl dem, der jenseits seiner Ichheit lebt:
Dem Wahren — ja dem tiefsten Selbste zu.
