Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-CXIV
It is important, not only that thou believest in God,
It is important, not only that thou believest in God,
But also that this makes thee happy.
God-consciousness should equally be trust in God —
In melancholy thou art not awakened to God.
Certainly, an earthly thing can sadden
But not for too long; thou must practice meditation.
Il n’importe pas seulement que tu croies en Dieu ;
Il n’importe pas seulement que tu croies en Dieu ;
Wichtig ist nicht nur, dass du glaubst an Gott;
Wichtig ist nicht nur, dass du glaubst an Gott;
Gottesbewusstsein sei gleich Zuversicht —
