Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-XXIX
The dignity of a noble man is not superficial;
The dignity of a noble man is not superficial;
It is based on a profound reality:
The immovable Center amidst the circling
Of the world; the wheel of existence is consecrated to God.
As Aristotle taught: silent
Is the cause of all things. Nobility
Is participation in Pure Being;
This lies deep in the blood of the noble man.
The principle of dignity should resound in the
Dignity means:
to bring Being into our existence.
La dignité de l’homme noble n’est pas superficielle ;
La dignité de l’homme noble n’est pas superficielle ;
Elle est participation au Pur Être ;
Nicht oberflächlich ist des Edlen Würde;
Nicht oberflächlich ist des Edlen Würde;
Sie fußt auf einer tiefen Wirklichkeit:
Die unbewegte Mitte in der Kreisung
Der Welt; des Daseins Rad ist Gott geweiht.
Wie Aristoteles es lehrte: still
Ist aller Dinge Ursach. Edelmut —
Er ist Teilhaftigkeit am Reinen Sein;
