Simpler than this, it seems to me, is what is crystal clear:

That Brahma is true, that the world of Mâyâ is but appearance;

That our soul contains the light of Brahma.

First, the idea; then concentration on the True —

And may God keep us in His Mercy!

Un grand commentaire du Brahma Sutra —

Plus simple me paraît ce qui est clair comme le jour :

Que Brahma est vrai, le monde-Mâyâ apparence ;

Que notre âme contient la Lumière de Brahma.

D’abord le concept ; puis la concentration sur le Vrai —

Et que Dieu nous garde en Sa faveur !

Einfacher scheint mir das, was sonnenklar:

Dass Brahma wahr, dass Schein die Māyā-Welt;

Dass unsre Seele Brahmas Licht enthält.

Zuerst Begriff; dann Ansammlung aufs Wahre —

Und dass uns Gott in seiner Gunst bewahre!
