Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-XVIII

It is often difficult to remain in the Eternal,

It is often difficult to remain in the Eternal,

Because the world-wheel keeps on turning

And thou must witness coming and going,

And see how nothing stands on the Eternal’s ground.

Thou wouldst fain despair of thyself —

But thou bearest Eternity within thee.

Du möchtest an dir selbst verzweifeln schier —

Du trägst die Ewigkeit ja doch in dir.
