Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-CXXVI
In Japan, táriki is the way of
In Japan, táriki is the way of
Reliance on the Highest Other.
Jíriki is the way of trust in oneself:
The heart’s own-power suffices for the path.
One should not quarrel over this, for what is possible,
Has the right to be, and must be. And each side
Has something of the other: yin and yang;
Understand the wondrous breadth of the Spirit.
Au Japon on appelle Tariki la Voie
Au Japon on appelle Tariki la Voie
Qui se fonde sur le Suprême Autre ;
Jiriki est la Voie de la confiance en soi :
La propre puissance du cœur suffit pour le Voyage.
Il ne faut pas ergoter, car ce qui est possible
A le droit d’être, et doit être aussi. Et chaque aspect
A quelque chose de l’autre : yin et yang;
Comprenez de l’Esprit la merveilleuse ampleur.
Tariki nennt in Japan man den Weg
Tariki nennt in Japan man den Weg
Des Bauens auf den Allerhöchsten Andern;
Jiriki ist der Weg des Selbstvertrauens:
Des Herzens Eigenkraft genügt zum Wandern.
Man soll nicht streiten, denn was möglich ist,
Darf sein, und muss auch sein. Und jede Seite
Hat etwas von der Andern: Yin und Yang;
Versteht des Geistes wundersame Weite.
