Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. I-VI-C
Among hard substances thou findest
Among hard substances thou findest
Raw rock and precious stones;
Likewise with metal: here thou findest lead and
Darkness and light, the coarse and the refined.
So it is in the soul: let the Most High work
In thy spirit — for He can change lead into gold.
Open thyself to God — He will reign in thy heart,
And transmute thine earthly heaviness.
Parmi les substances dures tu trouves
Parmi les substances dures tu trouves
Le rocher brut et les pierres précieuses ;
Den rohen Felsen und die Edelsteine;
