Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-XXXIII
In Vrindâvan — Krishna and Râdhâ’s swing,
In Vrindâvan — Krishna and Râdhâ’s swing,
Adorned with flowers, dances up and
Half earthly and half heavenly movement
Which gave Krishna’s gopis a sweet blessing.
What can be the meaning of this play?
That the wondrous nearness of God
Is linked with childlikeness of
And with God’s smile of grace, eternally.
Âtmâ and Mâyâ — Âtmâ is Mâyâ’s goal;
Truth lives in love’s eternal play.
Âtmâ et Mâyâ — Âtmâ est le but de Mâyâ ;
Halb irdisches, halb himmlisches Gegaukel,
Das Krishnas Gopis süßen Segen gab.
Was ist wohl die Bedeutung dieses Spiels?
Dass Gottes wundersame Nähe sich
Verbindet mit der Seelen Kindlichkeit —
Mit Gottes Gnadenlächeln ewiglich.
Ātmā und Māyā — Ātmā Māyās Ziel;
Die Wahrheit lebt im ewgen Liebesspiel.
