Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-CXLIV

The bright day is greeting us — shining sun,

The bright day is greeting us — shining sun,

Wandering clouds, and earthly things

Both still and moving — on the edge

Of possibility.

Then comes the silent night:

Infinity with countless stars

In the blackness of space, in God’s deep remoteness.

Holy night, that covers the day like a veil —

Silence of the heart, filled with adoration.
