Songs without Names: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Vol. VII-XII-LXXXVI
Serenity — it is unconditional,
Serenity — it is unconditional,
And so is resignation to God’s Will.
Certitude — it is evident in itself;
May it fill thy soul with trust in God.
I have said it before in different words;
Meet thyself thus wherever thou art.
La sérénité — elle est inconditionnelle,
La sérénité — elle est inconditionnelle,
De même la résignation à la Volonté de Dieu.
La certitude — elle est évidence en soi ;
Puisse-t-elle te remplir de confiance en Dieu.
Cela, tu l’as entendu auparavant — en d’autres mots ;
Rencontre-toi ainsi toi-même en tout lieu.
Erhabenheit — sie ist bedingungslos,
Erhabenheit — sie ist bedingungslos,
Und so Ergebenheit in Gottes Willen.
Gewissheit — sie ist Selbstverständlichkeit;
Möge sie dich mit Gottvertraun erfüllen.
Du hörtest es zuvor — in andern Worten;
Begegne so dir selbst an allen Orten.
