“God is the Light of the heavens and the earth,”

Thus it is said in the Koran. The Lord is Light as such,
Then Light here below, wherever Truth shines;
And also in man’s spirit; Light which blesses thee.
« Dieu est la Lumière du Ciel et de la terre » —

Dit le Coran. Le Seigneur est Lumière en soi,
Puis Lumière ici-bas, où la Vérité rayonne ;
De même dans l’esprit de l’homme ; elle te bénit.

Sagt der Koran. Der Herr ist Licht an sich,
