World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes I-III-XXXIX
In worship, long-drawn-out-ness
In worship, long-drawn-out-ness
And complication — whether in small things or in
Are the fault of pedants. Simplicity
Does not offend the Sacred.
Certainly one must entertain the
But one can also manifest the sacred in a simple way.
Unless richness and length are
Necessary to convey the music of Heaven,
And what one otherwise would rightly criticize,
Lies in the very nature of things.
Doivent manifester les cantiques célestes ;
Kundgeben muss die himmlischen Gesänge;
