Regarding the Lord: there is anthropomorphism —
Regarding the Lord: there is
One thinks that God feels and acts like a man;
And then regarding God and man: there is
As if it were only a question of will.
Simple faith may be founded on
But it has nothing to do with pure Truth.

Comme si seule la volonté comptait.
La foi simple peut se fonder là-dessus —
Cela n’a rien à voir avec la Vérité pure.

Und dann für Gott und Mensch: Voluntarismus —
Als käme es nur auf den Willen an.
Der schlichte Glaube mag auf dem beruhn —
Mit reiner Wahrheit hat es nichts zu tun.
