Or the treatments of Red Indian shamans,

Or the acupuncture of the Far-East,

Which heals by pricking nerve centers.

I never ask about mere theories —

Whatever helps, I call good medicine.

Pour ou contre l’homéopathie,

Ou la magie curative des sauvages Chamans,

Ou l’acupuncture de l’Orient, laquelle

Guérit en stimulant les centres nerveux.

Je ne demande jamais de simples théories —

J’appelle bonne médecine ce qui est efficace.

Für oder gegen Homöopathie,

Oder wilder Schamanen Doktorei,

Oder des Ostens Nadeltherapie

Die heilt, indem sie Nervenzentren ritzt.

Nach bloßen Theorien frag ich nie —

Ich nenne gute Medizin, was nützt.
