World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes I-III-LVI
What is conversion? It is faith in the Word
What is conversion? It is faith in the Word
In this or that form, depending on what we need.
One believes that, in a given ship, one can reach the haven of salvation,
And arrive in the Hands of God.
Conversion is also when disappointed in the world,
To finally turn to the thing that has meaning:
One feels that what is vain cannot be
One wishes to end in the presence of the Sovereign Good.
Conversion is to return
To what is our kernel — to honor God within ourselves.
Was ist Bekehrung? Glauben an das Wort
Was ist Bekehrung?
Man will beim Allerhöchsten Gute enden.
Bekehrung ist, zu dem zurückzukehren
Was unser Kern — Gott in uns selbst zu ehren.
