World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes I-III-LXVII
I think of the Real, and seek not to know more —
I think of the Real, and seek not to know
For anything I could know, is known to the Lord of the Worlds;
We learn many things, not because we wish
But only because we have to know them.
Certainly one has the right to think of many
But may God grant us discernment.
Gewiss, man darf an manche Dinge denken —
Doch mög uns Gott die Unterscheidung schenken.
