World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes I-III-XCVIII

Thor was the god of wrath and storm;

Thor was the god of wrath and storm;

Hence the name Thorsen, son of Thor.

The hammer, Mjölnir, was the god’s weapon —

Thunder and lightning terrify everyone.

By his side was Freya: primordial femininity,

Goddess of mildness; beauty, love, and happiness —

Through her, wrath and strife flee back to naught.

All-Possibility: manifold is its light;

One can grasp it — yet one grasps it not.

Thor était le dieu de la colère et de l’orage ;

Thor était le dieu de la colère et de l’orage ;

Toute-Possibilité : multiple est sa Lumière ;

Thor war der Gott des Zornes, des Gewitters;

Thor war der Gott des Zornes, des Gewitters;

Allmöglichkeit: vielfältig ist ihr Licht;
