Man is intellect and strength; beauty and love
Are embodied and perfected in woman.
Both are human beings — may God grant
That the depths of their hearts remain divine.

S’incarnent et se parachèvent dans la femme.
Les deux sont enfants des hommes — plaise à Dieu
Que le tréfonds de leur cœur reste divin.
Der Mann ist Geist und Kraft; Schönheit und Liebe
Der Mann ist Geist und Kraft; Schönheit und Liebe
Verkörpern und vollenden sich im Weibe.
Beide sind Menschenkinder — gebe Gott
Dass ihre Herzenstiefe göttlich bleibe.
