If thou hast said that God is One,
If thou hast said that God is One,
Then thou hast said it all: for Unity
Is both Unicity and Selfhood;
Also Totality: the possibility of things.
Selfhood: the ego in its kernel
Touches the True Self, beyond
For God is nearness, despite remoteness and together with it.
Si tu as dit que Dieu est l’Un,
Si tu as dit que Dieu est l’Un,
Alors tu as tout dit : car l’Unité
Est Unicité et Identité ; et puis
Totalité aussi : la Possibilité de toutes les choses.
L’Identité : l’ego dans son noyau
Touche le Vrai Soi, au-delà du temps —
Car Dieu est proximité, malgré et avec l’éloignement.
Hast du gesagt, dass Gott der Eine ist,

Dann hast du alles ausgesagt: denn Einheit
Ist Einzigkeit und Selbigkeit; und dann
Auch Allheit: aller Dinge Möglichkeit.
Die Selbigkeit: das Ich in seinem Kerne
Berührt das Wahre Selbst, jenseits der Zeit —
Denn Gott ist Nähe, trotz und mit der Ferne.
