Life does not offer more than it can,
Life does not offer more than it can,
And if thou wishest more, thou must seek it afar;
Thou askest me what and where and how and
God will ordain for thee the portals of thy destiny.
Each must make his way through
At the same time, on a higher level, there is another way.
La vie ne donne pas plus que ce qu’elle peut,

Et si tu veux plus, tu devras chercher loin ;
Tu me demandes quoi, où, comment et quand —
Dieu inscrira pour toi les portes du destin.
Chacun doit parcourir le chemin de la vie —
En même temps, plus haut, il y en a un autre.
