World Wheel: Poems by Frithjof Schuon Volumes IV-VII-LXXX
I hold the outward world in honor,
I hold the outward world in honor,
But I pay it no heed when the inward calls me.
God created the universe, but, with wisdom and love,
He gave each thing its level.
And every earthly thing has its circle,
Its nature is known to the Most High alone.
